To Our Marshall Family,

The Marshall University Alumni Association and Marshall University Foundation are closely monitoring the rapidly changing environment related to the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and responding in a number of ways. As members of the Marshall family, we want to update you on impacts to our students and university community while assuring you that we are open for business and working hard on your behalf.   Campus events are being cancelled, rescheduled or offered virtually for the next several weeks in alignment with CDC guidance. Individuals who have registered for alumni events will be contacted via email if event statuses change and refunds will be made available at the appropriate time.

Contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions about the status of an event or check out the summary of events below.

Many among the Marshall family are asking how they can help in this season of heightened anxiety and concern. We suggest contributing to our Student Emergency Fund as a way of supporting students in need of assistance. For more information about this fund, please see the description below.

In this ever-changing environment, you can remain connected and maximize your membership in the alumni association in many ways while we take these precautions and operate more in the virtual spaces. Here are a few options to explore:

Support Marshall Students In Need

Many of you have reached out to ask how you can help during these uncertain times. While Marshall has already taken significant steps to protect our campus community, we want to do even more to support our students on an individual level – especially those who are experiencing hardship as a result of COVID-19.

Beyond the physical safety of those at our university, one of the most significant concerns remains continued student success. Many are facing unexpected stress, fear and financial difficulties. You can help provide a source of encouragement and support during this difficult time.

If you’d like to help, please visit our giving page and select the Student Emergency Fund when choosing what you would like your gift to benefit to help our students impacted by this pandemic. CLICK TO DONATE
