This year’s virtual opportunities will include campus tours; thought-provoking discussions; social activities, opportunities to hear from students and President Gilbert; live events; game nights; and much more! A full schedule of events and online registration can be found below!

Meadows named Grand Marshal

Marshall University and the Marshall University Alumni Association are excited to announce that alumnus Allen Meadows will serve as grand marshal for Marshall’s 2020 virtual Homecoming set for the week of October 19-24.

Meadows is a prominent member of the Young Thundering Herd and a pillar in the Huntington community. He will serve in the role at the annual Homecoming Parade – this year taking place online on Marshall University’s social media channels – and at several activities throughout the week. READ MORE…

5:00 p.m. – Bourbon & Halloween Virtual Party
INFO: Bourbon curious? Want to awaken your inner bartender? Intrigued to find out how age, proof, barrel selection and the food we eat affect a whiskey’s taste? Join Beth Burrows, James B. Beam Distilling Company’s Brand Ambassador, Sip Downtown Brasserie and our very own MU Alumni on a guided virtual tour of James B. Free to all legal age alumni, supporters and students, simply pick up the items listed below in our grocery list, register, and make it a night with friends and loved ones Thursday, Oct. 22 as the folks at Sip guide you through a collection of wines and foods that is sure to be a hit!

7:00 p.m. – Virtual Parade
INFO: Compiled and produced by Marshall University students and staff, join us on Facebook on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. for the first-ever virtual Homecoming Parade! This unique event will include short video clips of student organizations, offices, alumni chapters, community organizations and more cheering on Marshall and showing their Thundering Herd pride!

8:00 p.m. – Marshall Trivia Night
INFO: Following the virtual parade, stick around for a night of fun and 1970’s trivia! Free and open to all alumni, supporters and students, win cool prizes and enjoy a fun night of trivia hosted by the Marshall University Alumni Association.

7:30 p.m. – “We Are Marshall” Drive-In Movie Night
INFO: Join us and the Greater Huntington Parks and Recreation District Friday, Oct. 23 for a drive-in showing of We Are Marshall at Altizer Field in Huntington (4801 Altizer Avenue, Huntington, WV 25705 ). Parking starts at 5 p.m. and the movie will begin at dark. Admission for this event is a Thanksgiving food pantry donation. Parking is first come first served until capacity is reached. Restrooms will be available but concessions will not so feel free to bring your own snacks! Just a reminder, no alcohol is permitted on Park property.

Saturday, Oct. 24

8:00 a.m. – Homecoming Video Activities
