Cocktail Recipes

Old Fashioned

Rub rim and glass with orange peel

In shaker add: Knob Creek (1.5oz), 2 dashes bitters, orange marmalade syrup (.33oz), water (.33 oz), ice and shake quickly, pour in prepared glass

Pour over rocks (2 cubes)

Garnish: Canned cherries (preferably Traverse City premium cocktail cherries)

The Gypsy

Rocks glass rubbed with lemon peel

In shaker add: Basil Hayden (1.5oz), 2 dashes lemon bitters, blackberry shrub (.66oz), thyme syrup (.33oz), ice and shake. Pour in prepared glass

Pour over 2 cubes of ice

Garnish: lemon peel

Hot Buttered Whiskey

2 oz Jim Beam Black

2 TBS batter (recipe below)

6-8 oz. hot water

1 cinnamon stick

In a rocks glass pour whiskey and add batter.  Pour with extremely hot water and mix to dissolve.  Garnish with cinnamon stick

1 stick butter

5 oz. brown sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp ground cloves

¼ tsp ground nutmeg
